Www.airhockeyworld.com - The ultimate resource for competitive Air Hockey! - 15 Sep 2011 Total Posts: 1 I bought (without doing any amount of research) a Havard g03606 because I wanted to buy one and guy sold it for $60. Got it home hooked it up and the airflow is not very good, the puck really doesn't slide across like a good table. Wondering if there is some cleaning I can / need to do to increase airflow or if I can upgrade the blowers for a cheap price? Thanks for any info. 19 Sep 2011 Total Posts: 509 You get what you pay for I guess.
Most everyone on these forums would consider the table you bought to be a toy. There's not much you can do to a $60 table short of cleaning the play surface and using a file drill bit or dremel tool to make sure none of the holes are clogged. If you get serious about an air hockey table, a quality Dynamo table is going to cost you a little more than $60 no matter how you slice it. There are deals to be found however.
It's not unheard of to find a quality used 8' Dynamo table on ebay or craiglist for $500-1000. The good ones are likely going to be a bit more than that. 19 Sep 2011 Total Posts: 509 Sorry to get off topic. This was taken directly from the Harvard G03606 owners manual.
Sad that the USAA can't at least attempt to circulate the 'official' rules of the game. The Object of the Game To score a predetermined number of points or to score the most points in given amount of time.
To Play Flip a coin to determine who will begin play. Play begins when the puck is placed on the playing surface.
Players must hit the puck with the striker and attempt to shoot it into their opponent's goal. One point is awarded when a puck is shot into the opponent's goal. Sometimes pucks can fly of the table.
If this occurs players may take turns placing the puck back on the table. That last rule was my personal favorite. 20 Sep 2011 Total Posts: 120 Can we adopt these rules? - 20 Sep 2011 Total Posts: 459 that sounds fair. Yes, let's take turns! 1 / / Bought a cheapo table. Upgrade the blowers?.
